Subscribe to Pro
Subscribing to Boswell Pro happens entirely inside the macOS app. The website shows pricing and links to the download, but the subscribe flow is sign-in-gated and app-initiated — you won’t find a checkout button on meetboswell.com.
Before you subscribe
Section titled “Before you subscribe”- You need Boswell installed. If you haven’t installed it yet, download it from meetboswell.com.
- You need to be signed in with an email address. If you haven’t signed in, open Boswell and follow the sign-in prompt — Boswell emails you a magic link.
- New accounts include a free month of Pro before any payment is required. See Start a Pro trial if you haven’t started yours yet.
How to subscribe
Section titled “How to subscribe”- Open Boswell on your Mac.
- Sign in with your account email if you aren’t already signed in. Boswell will prompt you when the app needs authentication.
- Choose to subscribe from inside the app when prompted. Boswell presents a choice of Monthly or Annual billing cadence.
- Complete checkout. Boswell securely hands off to Stripe for payment. The checkout runs through a Supabase Edge Function using your signed-in session — your card details go directly to Stripe and never pass through Boswell’s servers.
- Pro activates. After checkout completes, Pro is active on any Mac where you’re signed in with the same account.
After subscribing
Section titled “After subscribing”- Your subscription is tied to your account (your email), not to a specific Mac. Sign in on any Mac and Pro features are available.

Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Can I subscribe on the website? No. The subscribe flow is app-initiated and requires your signed-in session from the macOS app. The website shows pricing and links to the download, but it doesn’t process purchases.
Can I switch from Monthly to Annual later? You can make billing changes in the Stripe Customer Portal, reachable from meetboswell.com/account → Manage subscription.
What if I already used my free month? Subscribing works the same way — open Boswell, sign in, and choose a plan from inside the app.
